When it comes down to it, the difference between thickness is going to be based on feel. 7mm is typically used for heavy lifting where as 5mm is more common for use during conditioning.

After knee surgery 6 years ago - squatting, lunging and lateral movement have been challenging in a way that it never was before.
These Assassin knee sleeves provide me with the kind of support that's been missing for me to squat and lunge again without feeling "uneasy" about the movement.
The warmth they keep in my joints really makes the lateral movement much more comfortable and allows me to push myself better than before.

I had the original knee sleeves since the day they came out. I've used and abused the 5mm knee sleeves until they started fraying this year. So I had many years of use from body weight to heavy lifting exercises. Amazing stabilization and keep the knees warm. I ordered medium 5mm sleeves but received XL by accident. This acutally worked out well because it turned out a large 7mm is what I preferred. Customer care was great and I received my new order within 2 days of my new request. Would definitely recommend and be buying again once these wear out.
